You can pause an in-progress assessment at any time. When you pause, all work completed up to the current task is saved, and you will restart that task from the beginning when you resume.
Steps to Pause an Assessment
1. Navigate to the top of the screen.
Locate the Pause button in the top area of the assessment interface.
2. Click the Pause button.
A confirmation message will appear explaining that:
- Your work will be saved up to the current task.
- When you return, you will restart this task from the beginning.
a. Review the confirmation message.
The message will indicate which task you will be restarting when you resume.
b. Confirm the pause.
Select the option to confirm. The assessment will now be paused.
What Happens After You Pause
- Your responses up to the current task are saved.
- The task you were working on is marked as incomplete.
- If you paused a Universal Screener, your student will show as Incomplete on the Launch Screener page:
- On the Results page, a student who has a paused Universal Screener will appear as "Not Tested", because there is Universal Screener result until all tasks in the Universal Screener are complete. If you have completed any tasks in full, you will see a blue square populate for that individual task.
- When you resume, you will start the task where you left off again from the beginning, but your progress prior to that task (any completed tasks) remains saved.
