When you’re ready to start an assessment, the student device should be opened directly to multitudes.ucsf.edu.
Important note: for the 2025-26 school year, students do not have accounts on Multitudes. You should not sign in as a student through Clever, ClassLink, or any other login system.
Helpful tips:
If a student tries to log in using Clever or ClassLink, they’ll see an error message like this:

In order to launch the student side of the assessment:
Please open an internet browser on the device facing the student and navigate directly to the url multitudes.ucsf.edu
On the Multitudes home screen, click “Student Device.”
Once on the student device, click “Student.”
Use the pairing code shown on the student’s screen to link the two devices.
All information is securely transmitted through the educator device, which is the only logged-in role in Multitudes. During setup, the educator confirms each student’s identity and starts the assessment from their own device.
