You can check which Wi-Fi network your device is connected to by following the steps for your operating system.
macOS
You can check your Wi-Fi connection in two ways.
Option 1: Use the Wi-Fi Menu
- Select the Wi-Fi icon in the menu bar at the top of your screen.
- Find the Wi-Fi network with the checkmark next to it. This is the network you are currently connected to.
Option 2: Use System Settings
- Open System Settings.
- Select Wi-Fi.
- View the Wi-Fi network listed as connected.
- You can also see:
- Wi-Fi networks you have connected to before.
- Other Wi-Fi networks available to join.
iPadOS
- Open the Settings app.
- Select Wi-Fi.
- Find the Wi-Fi network listed at the top of the screen. This is the network you are currently connected to.
ChromeOS
You can check your Wi-Fi connection in two ways.
Option 1: Use the Quick Settings Menu
- Select the time in the bottom-right corner of the screen.
- Find the network name near the top of the menu. This is the Wi-Fi network you are currently connected to.
Option 2: Use Settings
- Select the time in the bottom-right corner of the screen.
- Select Settings.
- Select Network.
- View the Wi-Fi network you are connected to or connect to a different network.
Windows
Gap: The source material does not include the steps required to open the Wi-Fi settings. Only the following information is provided.
- Open the Wi-Fi settings.
- On the next page, you will see which network you are connected to.
Android
- Open the Settings app.
- Select Connections.
- Select Wi-Fi.
- Find the Wi-Fi network listed at the top of the screen. This is the network you are currently connected to.
