Use this checklist before screening day to make sure your devices, browser, and network are ready for Multitudes. Doing this ahead of time helps you get ready to screen with Multitudes.
1. Run the Test Assets Check
- Go to https://multitudes.ucsf.edu/test-assets/.
- Confirm that:
- Images load as expected.
- The video plays.
- The audio samples play.
If anything doesn’t load, please reach out to us here.
2. Test a Universal Screener with a Trial Student
Using your training login, run a full Universal Screener to make sure you can pair your devices and that both the educator and student screens work as expected.
We recommend testing in the same location where you will screen and using the same devices, or a representative sample of devices, that will be available during screening.
Before you begin, review the training guides in Resources > Getting Started in your Multitudes training account.
Step 1. Assemble your devices
- Use two Wi-Fi-enabled devices:
- One for the test administrator
- One for the student
- Use devices with the same operating system when possible.
- Make sure both devices use the same browser.
-
Use the latest version of Safari or Chrome when possible.
Additional technology requirement details are available here
Step 2. Go to the Multitudes site
- On the test administrator device, go to https://multitudes.ucsf.edu/.
- Select Educator/Proctor and sign in.
- On the student device, go to https://multitudes.ucsf.edu/.
- Select Student Device.
Step 3. Select a student
- Use the Grade dropdown if you want to choose a student from a specific grade:
- Kindergarten
- First Grade
- Second Grade
- Or select any student by clicking Select.
Step 4. Begin the assessment
- Choose the language of assessment.
- Choose the assessment you want to test.
- For an initial Tech Check, test a Universal Screener for each grade:
- Kindergarten
- First Grade
- Second Grade
Each grade has different tasks, so it is important to make sure all tasks work on the devices you will use.
Step 5. Pair the devices
- Enter the code shown on the student device into the educator device.
- Confirm that the devices pair successfully.
For task-specific administration details, review the training guides and Multitudes Administration Manuals in Resources > Getting Started.
